JUNE 2010

On June 27th, Meghan and Huckabee competed in the Short Stirrup Divison at the HSE II Trillium Show. They had an amazing day winning a 2nd and two 4th place ribbons in the over fences classes and a 3rd place ribbon in the hack class. Way to go, Meghan and Huck!!! Special thanks to McKenzie Dann for braiding and coaching, to Rachel for helping, out and to Ruth for trailering.  





During the weekend of May 31st, Lyndsey and Satin as well as Meghan and Huck competed at the Sunset Stables Trillium Show. Lyndsey and Satin did very well in the Schooling Hunter Division winning one 2nd place ribbon and one 4th place ribbon.  Meghan and Huck showed in the Short Stirrup Division and had some great jumps!

During the weekend of June 12th, Rhonda and Ty competed at the HSE Trillium Show.  After having much of the winter off, Ty was fantastic in the Low Hunter Division.  He earned two 6th place ribbons and one 4th place ribbon.

On June 20th, Rachel and Oggy and Rylee and Blue competed at the HSE Prelude Show.  Oggy and Rachel showed in the 2'3" division and did very well.  During their third trip, Oggy got all of the striding as well as all of his leads which is wonderful for a young horse.  Way to go Rachel for riding so well!  Special thanks to Jenn for coaching.


Rylee and Blue competed in the Lead Line Division.  This was Rylee's first show and she and Blue did extremely well!  They earned a sixth place ribbon in the Best Turned Out Class, a fourth place ribbon in the Walk Class, a second place ribbon in the Walk/Trot Class, and a second place ribbon in the Costume Class where Blue was dressed as a nurse and Rylee as a doctor.  All of these points combined earned the pair the title of Reserve Champion in the Lead Line Division.  Way to go!  Special thanks to Rachel for leading Rylee during the classes.

MAY 2010

On May 02, Meghan Scott and her pony, Huckabee, competed in the Short Stirrup Division at the Highland Green Trillium Show.  They came away with two 5th place ribbons competing with over seventeen other horse/rider combinations.  Way to go, Meghan and Huck!

On May 16th, McKenzie Dann and Koka, Rachel Lepik and Oggy, Alyssa Blair and Izzy, and Lyndsey Corbette and Satin, attended the first Prelude show held at HSE Stables.  All of these horse/rider combinations competed in the 2'3" Hunter Division.  McKenzie and Koka came away with a 1st, 2nd, and 5th place ribbons which earned them the title of Reserve Champion.  Rachel and Oggy earned a reserve placing, Lyndsey and Satin earned two reserve placings and two 4th place ribbons in the 2'6" Hunter Division, Alyssa and Izzy also had many successful jumps.  It was a great day for the ladies of Shadowvale and their mounts!




FEBRUARY/MARCH 2010

On March 07, 2010, Taylor McRae and Blue along with Rachel Lepik and Oggy, competed at Highland Green.  It was Oggy's first show and Taylor's first show with Blue.  Both horse and rider combinations did well.  Rachel came away with a sixth place over fences as well as a second and third on the flat.  Taylor and Blue won a second place ribbon in the hack and also entertained the crowd during the costume class.  Way to go girls!





JANUARY 2010

It has been a while since the last update so here goes...

In the fall of 2009, Brazil, owned by the Empey family, joined the Shadowvale crew. Her photo will soon be displayed in the Our Horses and Boarders section.

On January 17, 2010, four members of the Shadowvale crew trailered over to Con Brio farm to school over jumps.  We would like to thank the Hayman family for allowing us to use their beautiful new facility!

Izzy, Satin, Oggy, and Koka were all well-behaved and jumped around the new course very well.  Excellent riding was done by Alyssa Blair, Taylor McRae, Rachel Lepik, and McKenzie Dann.  Way to go girls! 






AUGUST 2009

On August 16, 2009, 5 members of the Shadowvale crew attended the LHC show at The Ilderton Fairgrounds.  Cohen White participated in his first ever horse show riding, Huckabee, in the Lead Line class.  He came away with a fourth place finish and was very excited about winning a ribbon.  Taylor McRae rode Satin, and won both her W/T and W/T/C Equitation classes.  She also earned a third place ribbon in the Hack.  Rachel Lepik and her horse, Mac, earned one fourth and two fifth place ribbons.  Alyssa Blair and her horse, Izzy, won their Hack class and also got a third place ribbon in the Equitation U/S.  Meghan Scott and her pony, Huckabee, also participated in the show and had several nice jumps.

Way to go Shadowvale Crew!!!

JULY 2009

On July 22, we took three ponies to a schooling show at Eden Ridge.  Taylor McRae made her debut on Shadowvale's Satin. The two had an impressive show with a first place ribbon in the Equitation O/F class and several other ribbons.  Meghan Scott and her pony, Huckabee, won the Hunter U/S class and came away with ribbons in all classes.  Alyssa Blair and her pony, Izzy, had a successful day as well.  Way to go girls!!! On July 08, Meghan Scott and her pony, Huckabee, as well as Alyssa Blair and her pony, Izzy, competed in a schooling show at Eden Ridge.  Meghan and Huck came away with the champion ribbon for the Intermediate Division.  Alyssa and Izzy came away with ribbons in all of their over fences classes.  Both girls and ponies did a fabulous job!

The Shadowvale crew has been out showing quite a bit over the past couple of months.  Jenn Hunter along with her horse, Legend, and Rhonda White with her horse, Ty, have been showing in both the Training Hunter and Low Hunter divisions on the Southwest Trillium circuit.  Both horses have done quite well so far this season earning ribbons at each show.  

Meghan Scott and Shadowvale's Blue, have attended two schooling shows and have come away with several ribbons including two first place ribbons.

Rachel Lepik and her horse, Mac, have also attended two schooling shows so far this season.  They too have come away with several ribbons with very large class sizes.  Rachel's ribbons include two firsts. 

Congratulations go out to Rachel Lepik as she got a new horse in June.  Oggy, was a surprise birthday gift to Rachel from her parents.  The two will spend the summer working together and hopefully get out to a couple of schooling shows this year. 

Congratulations to Meghan Scott on the purchase of her new pony, Huckabee.  The two will spend this summer getting to know each other with plans to show in the Short Stirrup Division on the Trillium Circuit in 2010.


MAY 2009

On May 10, 2009, Alyssa Blair and her horse Izzy, along with Rachel Lepik and Shadowvale's Satin, attend a schooling show at Eden Ridge.  Despite the unseasonable cold temperatures, both girls rode well.  Rachel and Satin came away with a third place ribbons in the Equitation Over Fences Class. 
Way to go girls!!!


Jenn Hunter and her horse, Legend, competed in the first Trillium Show of the season at Highland Green Stables on May 01.  The pair had a very successful day in the Training Hunter Division.

APRIL 2009

In March, we hosted a mini show at Shadowvale for our young riders.  It was a great day and the three girls who competed gained valuable feedback from our resident judge, Jenn Hunter.  Great job everyone!

Three of our young riders competed in the Highland Green Beginner Show on April 12, 2009.  Alyssa Blair and her horse Izzy came away with the Champion ribbon earning two first place ribbons and three second place ribbons.  Rachel Lepik and her horse Mac won the over fences class and pinned in all of the others.  Meghan Scott rode Shadowvale's Blue and came away with ribbons in most classes.  Way to go girls!  What a successful day!

Jenn Hunter and her horse Legend will be competing on the SW Trillium Circuit this season.  The pair will start out in the Training Hunter division with hopes to do the jumpers later on in the season.  This looks to be a promising combination!  Good luck Jenn =)

Rhonda White and her horse Ty, plan to compete on the Southwest Trillium Circuit this summer in the Low Hunter division.

JANUARY 2009

In January, we welcome Diamond and Legend along with their owner, Jenn.

 In October, we welcomed B.C and Weener to Shadowvale along with their owner, Yvonne.

Brrrrrrrrrr!!!  Let's hope February is warmer!!!

We are looking forward to getting out to Highland Green to take part in the Winter Schooling Show Series.

OCTOBER 2008
-Rachel Lepik and her horse Mac along with Rhonda White and her horse Ty attended the LHC schooling show on August 02.  Rachel and Mac competed in the Beginner 11 and Under Division and came away with a 1st, 3rd, and 5th place ribbon.  Rhonda and Ty competed in the Open Division and came away with two 1st place ribbons, two second place ribbons, and a fifth.  Rhonda and Ty also received the Champion ribbon for the Open Division.  Way to go Shadowvale Crew!

-CONGRATULATIONS TO RACHEL LEPIK AND MAC who competed in their first show at the Tavistock Fairgrounds on June 01.  They came away with many ribbons in the beginner division including a second place finish in the over fences class.  Way to go Rachel!

-CONGRATULATIONS TO MEGHAN SCOTT AND BLUE who also competed in their first show at the Tavistock Fairgrounds on June 01.  They came away with the champion ribbon in the beginner division. 

-CONGRATULATIONS TO ALYSSA BLAIR AND IZZY who successfully competed at their first horse show together at Eden Ridge on July 02!

-CONGRATULATIONS TO VICTORIA BREWSTER AND SATIN who also competed at Eden Ridge and came home with the Champion ribbon for the Pony Hunter Division!
